Overview
MobileAssist™ enables enterprises and software vendors to provide
real-time remote support of the most popular mobile devices, such as
Palm Powered and Windows Mobile™–based handhelds and smartphones, and desktop
or laptop computers, such as Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Macs.
MobileAssist enables quicker and easier problem diagnosis and
resolution, resulting in a more productive and satisfied user. Surveys
show that users ranked the time to resolve a problem as the #1 support
complaint.
In the
enterprise, increasingly critical and sophisticated business
applications are being deployed on mobile devices. A user experiencing
a problem loses productivity which translates into lost revenue.
MobileAssist reduces user downtime and increases the efficiency of the
help desk staff.
For a
software vendor, solving a customer problem quicker results in a more
satisfied user. How well you service your customer is a critical factor
in their long term satisfaction and loyalty to your company.
MobileAssist eases the challenge of supporting end users that are
non-technical in nature or demanding due to the sophistication or
critical nature of the application.
MobileAssist allows for multiple support agents to efficiently view and
manage all of the ongoing and pending support sessions. The support
agent can monitor the user’s screen to see the exact problem, and
control the user’s device from his desktop to further diagnose the
problem, or walk through the solution with the user. The agent can use
MobileAssist to examine databases, files, and other system parameters,
and then push updated files and software to the mobile device as
necessary. End-user devices connect to the MobileAssist Server, located
behind your corporate firewall typically in the DMZ network zone,
consistent with common security practices.
Licensing
MobileAssist is licensed on a per support agent basis, and not on the
number of end users or mobile devices. This means you can deploy
MobileAssist to every device in your enterprise or customer base,
without license compliance headaches and future fees as the number of
devices grow.
